本研究旨在了解大專階段退役棒球運動員生涯轉換之歷程及思考國內運動員在生涯轉換上的情況,透過質性研究中的個案研究法於2017年4月開始進行蒐集訪談資料,並佐以兩位參與者的系上學長訪談與運動員生涯、生涯轉換等相關文獻做三角檢證,依據兩位研究參與者從接觸到大專做出運動員生涯轉換的歸納研究結論如下:一、棒球運動員的生涯包括最初接觸、踏入體育班與退役:棒球運動員最初開始接觸棒球項目主要因素為自身興趣及家長因素,自身對於棒球的喜愛和成為職業球員的夢想,進而加入體育班接受更加專業的訓練,讓自己擁有更加成熟的運動技巧追逐夢想。但退役的時間不是每位運動員可以選擇,兩位研究參與者退役的原因分別為球隊解散及受傷為主要原因。二、大專階段退役棒球運動員升學管道及科系以繁星和體育系為主:在升學管道上本二位研究參與者均使用繁星推薦,其原因是因為體育班學生使用繁星升上大學體育相關科系較為容易和考試分數不理想。若要轉學、轉科系會較為困難,因領域的不同以及學科能力的不足。三、棒球運動員轉換過程的心情多為難過,新身分剛開始也較不適應:運動員退役後心情多是難過、不捨等負面心情,本研究其中一位參與者難過心情較為明顯,透過同儕的陪伴與專注於做好眼前的事使得研究參與者能更快走出低潮;而另一位研究參與者因長久運動傷害的關係,面對退役是以較為輕鬆的狀態去面對。因棒球退役運動員學科能力都較為薄弱,需花費較多時間彌補自己未接觸過的學科領域,因此也造成身分上些許的不適應。 The principal investigator aims to figure out the career transition process of two retired baseball player via semi-depth interview on the issues relate to their athlete careers and career transition. Moreover, the researcher reviews the existed literature about baseball, athlete, and career transition. In order to improve the quality of research, the author also conducts triangle rectification with their colleague to outline the important factors of their career transitions. There are three major research findings:1.The targeted college retired baseball players’ athlete careers including three periods: encounter, sports class, and retired. These two baseball players encountered with baseball along with their parents’ support, the love of baseball and dreams to become the professional players. During their career transition,both of them involved a series of professional training in the sports class and enrich the baseball skills to chase their career dreams. However, the time of retirement didn’t dependent on these two participants and the reason of their retirement are the injury and the discontinues operation of the student club.2.The two college retired baseball players access to the college via the affirmation action program due to their unsatisfied scores and higher chance to be admitted. However, it also is difficult for these two participants to transfer from the department of PE to others of transfer under the regulation of the affirmation action.3.During the career transition, these two baseball players were sad and lack of confident to face the new career orientation. Fortunately, with the support of their friends and colleagues, one of these two participants became in a better shape to his future. However, the academic preparation of the other baseball player is not good enough to face the challenge of college requirement, he was forced to commit more on his course work and improve his academic capacity.
